MENTAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CAMPS IN BENI AND BAGLUNG

LEADS Nepal organized free Mental and Reproductive Health Camps at Beni Hospital in Myagdi, offering health check-ups, psychological counseling, and free medication.

District Program Coordinator Nisha Mahat explained the camp aimed to improve access to health services for carers and individuals with mental health conditions, while also raising awareness about reproductive health.

Healthcare professionals, including Gynecologist Dr. Anju Thapa, Psychiatrist Dr. Anusa Manandhar, and Senior Nursing Officer Khem Kumari Pant, provided treatment and consultations.

Mayor Surat KC highlighted the camp's importance in diagnosing and treating health issues and encouraged the use of Beni Municipality's free health insurance. Dr. Padam Raj Shrestha praised the municipality's support for free healthcare for those with mental illnesses.

LEADS Nepal continues to implement income-generating and health programs across Myagdi, Baglung, and Nawalpur to improve the health and livelihoods of carers and individuals with mental health conditions.
