DISTRIBUTION OF GOATS TO FAMILIES CARING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND MENTAL ILLNESS.
April 23, 2024
LEADS Nepal, through its Baglung branch, distributed Boer breed goats to 10 economically disadvantaged families in Sigana Lamichaur, Baglung Municipality. The event was attended by Bindu Devi Sharma, head of the Baglung branch, Nisha Mahat, head of the Myagdi branch, and Hom Thapa, representative of the Carers' Agricultural Cooperative.
Along with the goats, 5 families also received plastic tunnels for vegetable farming. LEADS Nepal further supported these families by providing training on ginger farming to promote sustainable agriculture and income generation.
This initiative is part of LEADS Nepal's ongoing efforts to assist economically disadvantaged, disabled, and Dalit families in Baglung and Myagdi. The organization continues to focus on income-generating programs, offering vocational training, providing essential seeds for farming, and distributing goats to help improve the livelihoods of vulnerable families.
